I'm the8bitsuperhero or 8bit for short. I've always enjoyed making things, whether it's games, videos, graphics or little pieces of software. I have a degree in Media Informatics & Design and have worked with programming, Unity, 3D and media production over the years. I've also used Unity professionally, including for AR projects.
Despite the name, I'm not exclusively an 8-bit game developer. The »8-bit« is just part of the nickname.
I've never taken part in a game jam before, but I'd really like to give it a try. I'm looking to meet other developers, work on some projects and see what we can make together.
I am based in Germany. I speak German (native) and English (fluent).
My background is a mix of programming, 3D, design and media production. I can contribute to Unity development and scripting, but I'm also comfortable working on UI, graphics and 3D assets. With my media background, I can also help with things like video, motion graphics and presentation. I enjoy figuring out technical problems and building tools or workflows that make things easier.
Here are some of the tools I've used over the years. Some I use regularly, others I've only worked with occasionally.

I dug up some old videos from projects I worked on with Unity. They're a little dated by now, and definitely not a showcase of my best work. They're simply a few projects I happened to still have video footage from, so I figured I'd put them here.
Prototype for an AR Fighting Game – Mid 2023
I created this as a technical prototype to see if an AR fighting game like this would be feasible. The character and rock models, as well as the lava textures, were free assets. I created the lava shaders and the rest of the code myself. The AR functionality was built using ARKit on iOS.
AR-Test – around 2015
My very first test in augmented reality stuff based on Unity. Horses were downloaded assets, but everything else was made by me.
